Census Updates Schedule B for 201201/11/2012
On January 6, 2012 the U.S. Census Bureau (Census) issued Broadcast #2012002 announcing that the Schedule B and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) tables in the Automated Export System (AES) had been updated to accept the changes to the 2012 codes.
While the update was effective January 1, 2012, Census noted that AES will continue to accept the 2011 codes during a 30 day grace period ending January 30, 2012. After the grace period expires, reporting an outdated code will result in a fatal error.
AESDirect has also been updated with the 2012 codes and will continue to accept 2011 codes during the grace period.
