Airfreight Fuel Surcharges
As reported by IATA's Jet Fuel Price Monitor, the price of jet fuel increased during the months of March, April, May and continued into the first 2 weeks of June. By mid-June the price of jet fuel had increased approximately 57% since the low price levels seen in the beginning of March. As a result, airfreight fuel surcharge costs have increased. Expeditors will adjust its airfreight fuel surcharges from the below regions to the following levels effective Monday, June 29, 2009.
From Europe/Africa:
- to North America: EUR 0.55/kg or USD 0.55/kg (or the local currency equivalent of the prevailing country)
- to Europe/Africa: EUR 0.55/kg or USD 0.55/kg (or the local currency equivalent of the prevailing country)
- to Middle East/Indian Sub-continent: EUR 0.50/kg or USD 0.50/kg (or the local currency equivalent of the prevailing country)
- to Asia: EUR 0.55/kg or USD 0.55/kg (or the local currency equivalent of the prevailing country)
- to Latin America: EUR 0.55/kg or USD 0.55/kg (or the local currency equivalent of the prevailing country)
- to South Pacific: EUR 0.55/kg or USD 0.55/kg (or the local currency equivalent of the prevailing country)
From Middle East / Indian Sub-continent:
- to North America: EUR 0.55/kg or USD 0.55/kg (or the local currency equivalent of the prevailing country)
